PROJECTS

PAST AND PRESENT

Carovana Tabù

Carovana Tabù is a band composed of eight young musicians from all over Italy.Their peculiarity is the sound that comes from the mix of different genres ranging from funk, through jazz and soul. The real essence of the Carovana Tabù is to travel and see the world every time through different eyes.

Point of View

Is the title of the album they are promoting and is the real essence of their music: giving new interpretations to the successes of Italian and international music through unpublished arrangements.

“MILES TO GO”

Is a recording project of the Italian group “Carovana Tabù” with Fabrizio Bosso. The goal of the project is to bring the music of Miles Davis to the public in a new guise, through a Suite consisting of seven original arrangements of famous pieces by Davis and three unpublished pieces, inspired by the artist’s homonymous paintings. The sounds of each piece are inspired by the study and from the rediscovery of the various periods of Miles Davis’ music, to which are added characteristic stylistic, formal, harmonic and rhythmic elements of classical and contemporary music, with particular references to Bach, Hindemith, Stravinskij, Ravel, Debussy, Morten Lauridsen and Astor Piazzolla. This union is enriched by Fabrizio Bosso’s solo trumpet, the jazz / funk / pop sound of “Carovana Tabù” and live electronics.

Fabio Concato ft. Carovana Tabù

Fabio Concato is one of the greatest treasures of our singer-songwriter tradition and a remarkable interpreter of the Italian music scene. He continues to believe in poetry paired with sophisticated harmonies that, at times, share a "close familiarity" with jazz. Over the years, he has carved out a significant space for his songs, telling the small yet profound stories of everyday life in a deeply personal way. Nostalgia, memories, hopes, revelations, and subtle confessions, bursts of contagious joy, and moments of great tenderness populate the world of his songs, resembling photographs, illustrations, and notes in a diary of memories that have always managed to touch both the minds and hearts of his audience. In the long journey from 1977 (the year of his recording debut) to today, audiences have quickly recognized him as an elegant songwriter, capable of great self-irony and always attentive to environmental, social, and civil issues. His songs have become part of the history of Italian music, accompanying us to the present day without showing signs of aging. Instead, they have crystallized emotions and verses that have entered the collective imagination over a 45-year career.

Escape Trio

"Escape Trio" is a young ensemble born from the union of three distinct personalities with a shared passion for the many facets of both contemporary and traditional jazz. The group is composed of Giacomo Cazzaro on saxophone, Enrico Palmieri on double bass, and Antonio Marmora on drums—three musicians from different regions of Italy who met at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan during their respective jazz specialization studies. The Escape Trio offers a selection of pieces from the traditional jazz repertoire, reinterpreted in a fresh and revised way, making use of the rich sound possibilities afforded by the pianoless formation.

Hologram

A duo consisting of Simone Locarni on piano and Giacomo Cazzaro on saxophone, presenting a repertoire of original compositions by both musicians. Their contemporary style blends the sound of American jazz traditions with Northern European and Mediterranean influences, while also exploring radical improvisation and investigating the relationships between music, mathematics, philosophy, and the soul.
